Tools
for Development
promotes balanced development by providing education and training for deeply
impoverished indigenous villages in east central
Mexico.
Our goal is to help
the villagers achieve self sufficiency and lead productive lives.
As
needed, we undertake other projects to overcome immediate barriers to
development.
The
three development tools we provide are physical tools and community
skills, as well as education and training.

We
believe that we can permanently conquer extreme poverty by combining the skills
and resources of the privileged and underprivileged.
If we can empower
communities to stand on their own,
they will be able to take control of their own future. |
The following guiding principles
direct our activities, objectives and strategies.
|
We believe
all people deserve decent living
conditions that include shelter, balanced nutrition,
adequate clothing, access
to medical attention, access to education and
training,
and an opportunity to earn a living |
 |
Education, training, and spiritual development produce well-rounded
individuals who can stand on their own feet. They can then lead productive lives
and contribute to their communities;

the human virtues of
brotherly love, compassion, philanthropy, and a willingness to help others, we
can overcome barriers to development;
